Does your morning rush have you stressing over what to eat for breakfast? These easy dishes are the perfect solution! These tasty recipes have no more than five ingredients (excluding salt, pepper and oil) for a simple and delicious meal. Plus, they take just 10 minutes or less to make, so you can enjoy them in no time. Try options like our Cheesy Bean Toast or Watermelon-Peach Smoothie for a quick and nutritious breakfast that’ll have you looking forward to waking up!

    Cheesy Bean Toast

    Photographer: Diana Christruga.

This cheesy bean toast is perfect for using up leftover refried beans. We recommend using a larger piece of bakery bread for the ideal beans-to-bread ratio. Any salsa works well here—you can easily adjust based on your spice preferences.

    Chocolate-Strawberry Protein Shake

    Photographer: Ali Redmond.

Soy milk and Greek-style yogurt provide a solid protein base for this chocolate-strawberry protein shake. Sweet strawberries, sliced banana and rich cocoa powder create a sweet flavor without needing any added sugar. Tossing in a few ice cubes chills the shake down and gives it a refreshing, frosty texture.

    Watermelon-Peach Smoothie

    Ali Redmond

This watermelon-peach smoothie is a refreshing drink that’s perfect for warm days. Made with ripe watermelon and frozen peaches, this smoothie bursts with fruity flavor without the need for added sugar. Use frozen peaches from a bag or freeze your own ripe, in-season peaches for the best sweet and fruity flavor.

Shredded Wheat with Raisins & Walnuts

Photographer: Jake Sternquist, Food Stylist: Holly Dreesman, Prop Stylist: Lexi Juhl

This shredded wheat with raisins and walnuts is an easy breakfast to reach for when you want something quick with plenty of fiber and healthy fats. For a no-added-sugar breakfast, be sure to use unsweetened shredded wheat cereal. Read the label and opt for brands that contain 0 grams of added sugar.

    Banana–Peanut Butter Yogurt Parfait

Photographer: Jake Sternquist, Food Stylist: Holly Dreesman, Prop Stylist: Lexi Juhl

This banana–peanut butter yogurt parfait is a delicious and nutritious breakfast or snack that relies on the natural sweetness of ripe bananas to create a creamy, flavorful base. The combination of banana and peanut butter is a classic pairing that provides healthy fats and a boost of protein. This easy parfait is a great way to start your day or enjoy a midday pick-me-up.

    Orange-Mango Smoothie

    Ali Redmond

For Dylan Dreyer, “Today’s 3rd Hour” co-host and NBC News meteorologist, this smoothie is a staple in her household during cold and flu season. The vitamin C from the oranges helps support immune health, so she and her kids can feel their best. Plus, it tastes just like a creamsicle. If you don’t have almond milk, any other dairy or nondairy milk will work.

Ricotta Toast with Peaches & Prosciutto

Photographer: Grant Webster, Food Stylist: Holly Dreesman, Prop Stylist: Joseph Wanek

This ricotta toast with peaches and prosciutto offers the perfect balance of creamy, sweet and savory flavors. Enjoy it for breakfast, brunch or a light snack. For even more flavor, drizzle the toasts with a bit of honey or balsamic glaze and garnish with a fresh herb like basil or mint.

Spinach & Feta Mug Scrambled Eggs

Photographer: Jen Causey, Food Stylist: Jennifer Wendorf, Prop Stylist: Priscilla Montiel

Whip up eggs with a few simple ingredients in a microwave-safe mug, and you have the makings of a breakfast that’s prepped, seasoned and will be ready to eat in a little more than a minute before running out the door. If you don’t want to store the mixture in individual mugs, you can store it in an airtight container then transfer to a mug when you’re ready to cook it.

    Lemon-Berry Ricotta Toast

Photographer: Rachel Marek, Food stylist: Annie Probst

Creamy ricotta cheese keeps fresh, sweet berries in place in this quick and simple breakfast. Good, crusty whole-grain bread will make all the difference here. Blueberries, strawberries, blackberries or a mix of the three all work well.

Egg, Spinach & Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich

    Brie Goldman

Fill yourself up with this ultra-quick egg, spinach and Cheddar breakfast sandwich. Not only is it fast, but there’s a good chance you already have the ingredients on hand that you’ll need to pull it together, so you can skip a trip to the store before your busy workweek.

Spinach, Peanut Butter & Banana Smoothie

    Ali Redmond

Peanut butter and banana is a classic combo that’s even more delicious with the addition of tangy probiotic-rich kefir. Plus, this peanut butter banana smoothie helps you up your veggie servings for the day with a bit of mild-flavored spinach mixed in.

    Mascarpone & Berries Toast

Creamy mascarpone is delightful when topped with mixed berries and mint for this bright-tasting, easy and healthy breakfast toast.

Peanut Butter & Chia Berry Jam English Muffin

The chia seeds in the quick “jam” topping add heart-healthy omega-3s to this healthy breakfast recipe.

    Salsa-Topped Avocado Toast

Photography: Carson Downing, Food stylist: Holly Dreesman, Prop stylist: Gabe Greco

Spin leftovers from taco night into this easy salsa-topped avocado toast for a quick snack, or use it as a jumping-off point for breakfast by adding an egg on top. Single-serve packages of mashed avocado or guacamole can stand in for the fresh avocado.

    Pesto Scrambled Eggs

Photographer / Brie Passano Styling / Annie Probst / Holly Raibikis

Pep up breakfast (or dinner) with a little pesto. And be careful not to overcook your eggs. Scrambled eggs are at their best when you see soft, creamy curds. Serve with a slice of whole-grain toast and sliced tomatoes.

    Instant Egg & Cheese “Bake”

    Johnny Autry

Learn how to cook eggs in the microwave for a quick, delicious breakfast. Spinach and Cheddar cheese make these eggs even more filling.
