    • Dinner can be on the table faster with these four favorite Costco Kirkland Signature products.
    • The tortelloni, breaded cod, chicken chunks and pizza crust can be served in various ways.
    • They are freezer-friendly and convenient for busy weeks.

While I buy Costco’s Kirkland Signature brand olive oil, nuts, feta cheese—and even my daughter’s favorite leggings—there are plenty of items I pass over as I peruse the aisles. However, on one trip, I decided to try five new-to-me Kirkland Signature products, and four of them were so good that they’ve earned permanent spots in my home—their tortelloni, seasoned and breaded cod, breaded chicken breast chunks and a cauliflower crust pizza.

People talk about their adoration for grocery store chains like Aldi and Trader Joe’s, but you will need to rip my Costco card from my cold, dead hands. I adore Costco! I go to Costco at least twice a month, if not every week—and I stock my pantry with mostly their products. Peek into my fridge and you’ll find that most of my cheese was purchased there. If I’m pressed for time, I rely on foods like the ones here that are always on my Costco list to get dinner on the table fast.

    Five-Cheese Tortelloni with Parmigiano Reggiano

    Eating Well/Costco

In the past, I’ve waxed poetic about my love of the pumpkins and bats ravioli sold at Costco around Halloween, going so far as to say that I was planning on stocking up to eat them well into the winter. But I’ve found my new favorite filled pasta—ever. The Five-Cheese Tortelloni with Parmigiano Reggiano is cheesy, creamy and cooks up in minutes. We’ve enjoyed it sauced (with Rao’s from Costco, of course) and in broth with chopped veggies, and both were delicious. I’ve even started turning half of the package into tortelloni salad for our daughter’s school lunch. Look for them in the refrigerated section.

    Everything Bagel Seasoned Cod

While I do typically buy frozen fish at Costco, I haven’t bought any of their seasoned or breaded fish before. And while I like everything bagel seasoning fine enough, I wasn’t as into it as others were a few years ago, when the mix was at its peak of popularity. Still, the Everything Bagel Seasoned Cod intrigued me. And after we had it once, I will keep it in my freezer until it’s no longer available. I cooked it in my toaster oven air fryer from frozen, and it came out crispy and delicious in less than 15 minutes. We ate it with roasted potatoes and a salad, but the fillets would be perfect for fish sandwiches too.

    Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks

    Eating Well/Costco

Even though I have a kid, chicken nuggets were never a staple in our house (until recently, I’ll get to that). Sure, we’d order them sometimes if we were out to eat, but I didn’t make them at home. Then a local fast-food restaurant opened and served a salad with chicken nuggets on top, prompting me to recreate the dish at home. And ever since, it’s been a dinner we make at least once a month. These Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks from Costco will be my go-to for that dinner from now on. They’re made from boneless, skinless chicken breast and cook up nice and crispy.

    Supreme Cauliflower Crust Pizza

    Eating Well/Costco

I’m no stranger to cauliflower-crust pizza. My husband avoided gluten for several years, and Milton’s Roasted Vegetable Cauliflower Crust Pizza (also available at Costco) was his favorite. So much so that we still buy it. I decided to try the Kirkland Signature Supreme Cauliflower Crust Pizza, and it was just as good. It’s covered with a generous amount of veggies, including peppers, zucchini and mushrooms, plus sausage and pepperoni. It was very savory, and the crust was sturdy like a regular pizza crust. I like to pair it with a simple salad or crudités and ranch. One-quarter of the pizza packs 900 milligrams of sodium, but we eat it only once or twice a month and keep the sodium in our other meals in check otherwise.

    The Bottom Line

Trying a new product from Costco can feel like a commitment, especially since they don’t sell items in small quantities. However, the Kirkland Signature brand often proves to be worth it, particularly when you find something that everyone in your household enjoys. When these items can be stored in the freezer, like the four featured here, you’ll always have something on hand for those busy weeks when you need to prepare dinner quickly. Additionally, they can be used in various ways to ensure meals don’t become monotonous.
