If you’ve shopped at Trader Joe’s, you’re probably well acquainted with the unique offerings that line the grocery store’s shelves. From pumpkin spice sugar cookies to garlic butter potato chips, there’s something to enjoy, even for those with the pickiest palates.

Plus, with a slew of tasty dips and sauces, you can spice up your favorite recipes with a drizzle of something flavorful. Options like the dill pickle mustard and the Korean-Style Yangnyeom Sauce have gained popularity with shoppers.

The latest Trader Joe’s condiment is actually a returning fan-favorite product, and loyal customers are thrilled to see it.

Trader Joe’s Organic Spicy Taco Sauce Is Finally Back

Taco night is about to get spicier, thanks to the return of Trader Joe’s Organic Spicy Taco Sauce. After a two-year hiatus, the popular condiment, which features an image of a sombrero-wearing skeleton on the label, was finally spotted on store shelves again.

With a base of distilled vinegar and tomato paste, the sauce has plenty of heat from a blend of chili pepper powder, red jalapeño pepper purée, and cayenne peppers. Garlic powder, pepper, and oregano round out the flavor with a kick of savoriness.

In a recent Reddit post, Trader Joe’s shoppers were quick to “Sound the alarm!” over the returning product. One fan shared their plans to stock up in the chance that the sauce gets discontinued again, “I’ve bought four bottles so far because I’m paranoid it’s going to go away again lol.”

Another shopper questioned whether it was a good dupe for Taco Bell’s hot sauce, “Someone remind me please—is this a Taco Bell dupe?” to which another commenter responded, “Way better than Taco Bell’s sauce (and I love Taco Bell) in my opinion, and half the price.”

The taco sauce lends itself well to spicing up your tacos and nachos. But if you’re looking for more inspiration on how to use the spicy sauce in a non-traditional way, one commenter recommends mixing it with ranch to create a zesty salad dressing: “This mixed 50/50 with ranch is the perfect dressing for a Southwest salad.” You can also use it to add a boost of flavor to dishes like wings, sandwiches, and more.

The hot sauce comes in a 13-ounce bottle and retails for about $2.49, though prices may vary depending on your location. If you’re a fan of spicy hot sauce or simply looking to try something new, head to Trader Joe’s to grab a bottle—before it disappears again.
