    • Twin Sisters Creamery cheeses recalled in Washington and Oregon for E. coli.
    • The Whatcom Blue, Farmhouse Peppercorn and Mustard Seed were sold from July 27 through October 22.
    • There have been three E. coli cases including one hospitalization connected to this recall.

There’s an active recall on various types of cheese, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This is due to an active E. coli outbreak connected to the products.

The brand impacted by this recall is Twin Sisters Creamery based in Washington. The cheeses affected were made from raw and unpasteurized milk and were distributed to retail locations in Washington and Oregon from July 27 through October 22, 2025.

The following Twin Sisters Creamery cheeses are recalled. The cheeses were sold in 2.5-pound wheels to retailers but likely repackaged into smaller pieces for consumers: Whatcom Blue (with batch code 250527B, 250610B, 250618B or 250624B), Farmhouse (with batch code 250603F or 250616B), Peppercorn (with batch code 250603P) and Mustard Seed (with batch code 250616M) cheeses.

Check your refrigerator, and if you have any of these recalled cheeses on hand, dispose of them, sanitize any engaged surfaces and contact your place of purchase for a refund. As of October 27, there have been three reports of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) infection connected to this recall in the impacted states, including one hospitalization. This resulted in lab testing where the Whatcom Blue and Farmhouse cheeses tested positive for E. coli STEC and E. coli O103, respectively.

    E. coli infection can lead to symptoms of foodborne illness such as diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting and low-grade fever. If you are showing any of these signs after eating the recalled cheese, contact a healthcare provider immediately.

For questions about this recall, call Twin Sisters Creamery at 360-656-5240 from Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST.
