Bring some festive cheer to your morning with these Christmas breakfast ideas! From breakfast casseroles to delightfully sweet pastries and a build-your-own breakfast buffet, these are always popular for a crowd.

Christmas morning is the best! You’ve got the excitement of presents under the tree and delicious smells wafting from the kitchen. And while Christmas dinner and those delicious Christmas appetizers you munched on the night before tasty, I think Christmas breakfast is uniquely special. Especially when little hands are helping out in the kitchen.

Many of my Christmas breakfast recipes are perfect for a large group. But they’re also great for smaller gatherings with the bonus of delicious leftovers! My savory breakfast casserole is a must-make (according to readers), and I’ve got some sweet options that won’t weigh you down. So pour yourself a warm hot chocolate, eggnog, or matcha latte (it’s green and festive!). Then, get ready for a deliciously cozy breakfast!

Christmas Breakfast Ideas For A Crowd

Ultimate Breakfast Casserole: Everyone always loves this combination of eggs, crispy bacon, breakfast sausage, sweet potato, and bell pepper. It’s hearty, nourishing, and loaded with flavor.

Berry Baked Oatmeal: It’s an easy baked oatmeal recipe, thanks to a bag of frozen berries. Then, jazz up each serving with a dollop of yogurt or drizzle of maple syrup.

Shakshuka: This is always a great Christmas breakfast! It’s red, festive, and the eggs simmer in the most deliciously spiced tomato sauce. If you have a bunch of guests, you could even make a green shakshuka!

Sweet Potato Breakfast Hash: If you prep roasted sweet potatoes and crispy bacon the night before, this comes together quickly! It’s another great way to enjoy eggs and veggies in the morning.

Turkish Eggs: Did you know you can serve these in a large platter for a crowd? Just add a layer of Greek yogurt to a platter and assemble the poached eggs. Then, finish them off with a drizzle of the spiced butter sauce. It presents so beautifully!

Oatmeal: It’s really easy to make a large batch of oatmeal to feed family and friends. Enjoy a simple bowl of oatmeal or get creative with endless sweet and savory flavor options.

Kale and Butternut Squash Frittata: This seasonal frittata is filled with sauteed kale, butternut squash, onion, garlic, and creamy goat cheese. Everyone always goes back for seconds!

    Build-Your-Own Breakfast BUFFET

Scrambled Eggs: Fluffy scrambled eggs are always the first thing to disappear at a breakfast bar. They’re quick to make, easy to keep warm, and pair well with just about everything else on the table.

Baked Eggs: These simple baked eggs are perfect for a crowd and done in less than 15 minutes! Just bake the eggs in several ramekins or a muffin tin and serve with a variety of herbs and toppings.

Bacon: Crispy bacon is a universal crowd favorite, and baking it in the oven means no greasy stovetop splatters. Plus, it frees you up to work on the rest of your spread.

Breakfast Sausage: Whether it’s classic breakfast sausages or my chicken breakfast sausages, they’re the perfect savory addition. And yes, they’re so much better than the store-bought versions!

Breakfast Egg Muffins: A fabulous make-ahead option for quick egg bites if you plan to have a busy morning. Plus, you can always freeze some to enjoy in the following weeks.

Breakfast Potatoes: Golden and crispy breakfast potatoes add a cozy, savory element to the mix. They’re great for piling next to eggs or folding into a breakfast bowl.

Chia pudding: I love making a large batch of chia pudding for a breakfast crowd. Just prepare some fresh fruits and maybe a fruit puree. Guests can assemble their own bowls!

    Sweet Christmas Breakfast Ideas

Overnight Oats: Make a big batch of overnight oats the night before. Then, everyone can add their favorite sweet or savory toppings the next morning! And if you have leftover eggnog (that’s alcohol-free), make this delicious eggnog overnight oats.

Pomegranate Chia Pudding Parfait: Who can resist these beautiful Christmas-y layers? This is how I love to elevate my chia pudding—with layers of yogurt, pomegranates, and sliced almonds. But feel free to get creative!

Breakfast Banana Split: This breakfast couldn’t be any easier—just slice some bananas, top with yogurt, and add homemade granola, almond butter and berries.

Paleo Pancakes. My go-go gluten-free and dairy-free pancake recipe. These pancakes are light, fluffy, and perfect with a drizzle of maple syrup. I’ve also got variations with apple cinnamon and maple ginger—yum!

Lemon Ricotta Protein Pancakes: If you’re looking for an extra protein boost for Christmas morning, these more than satisfy. They’re naturally sweet, perfectly fluffy, and pack in a protein punch!

Banana Bread: This healthier spin on banana bread is higher-protein (thanks to the almond flour) and super moist. This is perfect with a warm cup of tea!

Cranberry Orange Muffins: These soft and moist muffins are studded with cranberries and lightly flavored with fresh orange. If you have leftover cranberry sauce, feel free to fold that in as well!

Superseed Buckwheat Waffles: All you need are ground seeds, buckwheat flour, and coconut water to make these! They’re fluffy yet nutritious, and perfect topped with fresh fruit and maple syrup.
