Is it worth buying a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser this Black Friday?
Available in three stylish colours, the all-new Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser has been constantly popping up on our social media feeds since its launch in September. It’s had some considerable upgrades versus its predecessor, like a cold drinking chocolate setting (ideal for hot days) and a more premium build quality, though it’s still only suitable for single portions.
It comes with some accessories, too, including two cups (one ceramic, one glass) and a 10-pack of hot and cold chocolate sachets, so you can get started straight away without needing to buy any extras.

With an RRP of £149.95, it’s expensive and if you want to make more hot chocolate for less, the ProCook milk frother (which has capacity for two drinks) might serve you better – though it’s arguably not as good looking and doesn’t come with any accessories.
In test we couldn’t fault the quality of the hot chocolate, though, and every drink we made with the Velvetiser was silky smooth and perfectly combined.

A pack of 10 sachets is 350g, so the Amazon deal – perhaps unsurprisingly – offers the best value overall. For the best results, add one sachet or six tablespoons of hot chocolate flakes to 220ml of milk (dairy or plant) and heat for a few minutes for creamy, smooth results.
