    Resource Recommendation by Ellenit Serrano

Created in partnership with the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford and founding member, Indeed, the Work Wellbeing Playbook provides a summary of top science-based interventions proven to improve workplace wellbeing. Truly a global resource, it is available in English, Dutch, French, and German versions.

The playbook can be leveraged by business leaders to craft a holistic employee wellbeing strategy for their organization, organized around 6 key drivers of workplace wellbeing

    • Development and security
    • Relationships
    • Independence and flexibility
    • Variety and fulfillment
    • Earnings and benefits
    • Risk, health, and safety

The playbook identifies specific strategies and interventions identified by researchers to improve employee wellbeing across diverse work environments, resulting in higher levels of productivity; supporting recruitment and retention of top talent; and ultimately contributing to firm performance.

    How to use the resource

The Playbook builds upon the World Wellbeing Movement’s science-based recommendations for measuring how employees feel about their work and why. Measurement is informed by ongoing research based on the Indeed Work Wellbeing Score, which was also created alongside experts from the Wellbeing Research Centre.

Creators of the Work Wellbeing Playbook recommend reviewing the provided guidance on measuring employee perceptions of their work and hearing from experts on the drivers of wellbeing before taking action to select appropriate interventions shared in the Playbook.

Updates to the Playbook are ongoing based on the research from the World Wellbeing Movement and its coalition of global leaders. Users of the Playbook are encouraged to subscribe to the newsletter for announcements about new interventions and the latest recommendations.

    About the World Wellbeing Movement

The World Wellbeing Movement (WWM) is a social impact organization and registered charity working at the intersection between academic experts and decision-makers in both business and policy to translate evidence-informed wellbeing insights into real-world impact.

It is a coalition of global leaders from business, civil society, and academia that have come together to put wellbeing at the heart of decision-making both in business, and public policy. Their approach is strongly evidence-based supported by their academic partnership with the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford.
