Gone are the days when Pepsi and Coca-Cola dominated the soda industry, as brands like Slice Soda, Poppi, Olipop, and others prove that bubbly drinks are constantly evolving.

Olipop, in particular, has become one of the leading names in healthier alternatives to sugary sodas. The brand offers a wide range of classic flavors, including Ginger Ale, Crisp Apple, and Vintage Cola.  And the collaborations are always exciting, too—from Barbie-inspired Peaches & Cream to Pineapple Paradise, which is based on the hit cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants.

Olipop’s latest addition offers a trendy twist on a classic mocktail fans have been eagerly awaiting. Best of all, the brand is giving a select few the opportunity to try it for free.

Olipop Launches New Shirley Temple Soda

Shirley Temples may have been the drink of 2025, with brands like Slice Soda, Spindrift, and 7Up releasing ready-to-drink versions throughout the year. And as the new year begins, we are already facing more competition.

    Allrecipes / OLIPOP

Olipop is the latest brand to throw its hat in the ring, with its brand-new Shirley Temple soda. Inspired by the iconic mocktail, the canned beverage offers a fruity blend of white grape, lemon, and lime, ending with a tart cherry flavor. Like all Olipop drinks, the Shirley Temple is crafted to be a healthier (yet still tasty!) beverage option, with only 50 calories and 5 grams of sugar per can.

Each can costs about $2.49, though prices may vary. The limited-edition flavor will be available in stores on Jan. 5, 2026, and will be sold through the end of March on Olipop’s website, Amazon, and major retailers such as Walmart, Target, Kroger, and Albertsons.

When @snackolater teased the release on Instagram last month, fans quickly flooded the comments with excitement—some in disbelief: “UR JOKING,” one wrote.

“I’m actually crying tears of joy,” another person responded, while someone else chimed in, “This gonna be so good.”

If you’re as excited about the new flavor as Olipop’s fans and I are, then you’ll be happy to know that you can try it for free. That’s right, to kick off Dry January, the soda brand is partnering with Instacart to give away 5,000 cans of Shirley Temple.

Starting Jan. 9, Instacart and Olipop will host “Cherry On Top” giveaways every weekend, where fans can win two free cans of Olipop delivered right to their doorstep. To enter: Sign in to your Instacart account, add your Olipop cans to your cart, and the promotion will be automatically applied while supplies last.

This is a great opportunity to try the new flavor or grab one of your favorites from the current lineup. Be sure to mark your calendar and chill your glass ahead of time so you can enjoy Olipop’s new Shirley Temple while it’s still available!
