    • Creates opportunities: New jobs, friendships, or adventures often come from saying yes to things you might otherwise have said no to.
    • Helps you adapt to change: Life’s full of curveballs, and being open-minded makes it easier to roll with whatever comes your way.

    • Practice empathy: Instead of judging someone’s choices, try to see things from their perspective. Empathy is a game-changer for relationships.
    • Don’t be afraid of making mistakes: It takes courage to be more open-minded, because you have to be able to take the risk of being wrong, says Dr. Daramus. “That’s okay, as long as you’re open to rethinking your stance and correct it.” Remember, it’s about learning, not perfection.
