Nothing takes me back to childhood like a taste of the sodas I used to drink. In my house, sugary sodas were verboten, but sneaking a sip of my best friend’s pop on Friday afternoons after middle school tasted like sweet, sweet freedom (and just a little bit of teenage rebellion). Her favorite was always Dr Pepper, with its subtle notes of vanilla and its signature 23 spices, and thus, it quickly became my favorite, too.
These days, Dr Pepper is popping up more outside the soda aisle than inside it, with all kinds of collaborations ranging from the sweet (cotton candy, cake, and Peeps) to the totally unhinged (sausage—yes, really). But the latest launch from Dr Pepper is one that makes total sense—and tastes absolutely delicious.
Dr Pepper Dippin’ Dots Are Launching Nationwide
Dippin’ Dots
Two sweet nostalgic icons are teaming up to create the sweet treat of my dreams. If you’re anything like me, you believe the best part of going to amusement parks and sports stadiums isn’t the main attraction, but the concessions stands. I can practically taste the impossibly creamy, adorably pastel Banana Split Dippin’ Dots melting on my tongue to this day. And now, for the first time in its nearly 40-year history, Dippin’ Dots is collaborating on a new flavor with another powerhouse brand: Dr Pepper.
“This is the first time Dippin’ Dots has teamed up with another brand to debut a new flavor innovation. It’s more than just a brand mashup, it’s a one-of-a-kind collaboration between two unique brands that thrive on originality,” said Lynwood Mallard, chief marketing officer at J&J Snack Foods, owner of Dippin’ Dots.
Dr Pepper Dippin’ Dots are officially debuting now at participating Dippin’ Dots retail locations, theme parks, entertainment venues, and more nationwide.
Back in the fall, at the NACS Show, I was among the first to taste this new innovation. Here is my review of Dr Pepper Dippin’ Dots.
My Honest Review of Dr Pepper Dippin’ Dots
I’ll be perfectly honest: When I spotted the signage for Dr Pepper Dippin’ Dots, I was elated. This collaboration was not a hard sell for me, but I was a bit skeptical about how the soda flavor would come through. I’m happy to report I was proven wrong.
The flavor comes through perfectly, with creamy vanilla and spiced undertones—there’s almost an effervescent quality to boot, as well. Basically, Dr Pepper Dippin’ Dots taste like the Dr Pepper float of your dreams. Not only were they one of the best and most memorable products I sampled at NACS, but one of the best new treats I tried in all of 2025.
Now that they’re rolling out nationwide, you bet I’ll be purchasing a ticket to the nearest concert or sports game just to taste them again.
