Aldi’s weekly specials make it hard to stay away from the budget-friendly grocery chain. Each Wednesday, new items—called Aldi Finds—are put on shelves. Shoppers can find international foods, copycat products, and so many homewares rotating through the shelves each week.

And with the holiday season quickly approaching, we’re also browsing the aisles for gift options as well as groceries. This week. I’m eyeing a piece of cookware that rivals an item Williams Sonoma sells. But, because it’s Aldi, I know it will be kinder on my budget. In fact, it’s 88 percent cheaper.

Aldi’s Crofton 15-Inch Cast Iron Pre-Seasoned Pizza Pan

    Allrecipes / Aldi

Now through Oct. 28, Aldi will be absolutely stuffed to the gills with holiday gifts, baking goods, and home decor. But nestled in all the seasonal goods is this Crofton 15-Inch Cast Iron Pre-Seasoned Pizza Pan, which is priced at $24.99. Outside of DIY pizza nights, this pan is great for calzones, scones, biscuits, flatbreads, and more. It’s a versatile tool, and because it’s cast iron, it’s sure to last a lifetime if taken care of.

The round, flat pan has a 15-inch diameter and two lifted handles for easy maneuvering and transportation. It has a strikingly similar design to this Le Creuset option from Williams Sonoma, which has a 14-inch diameter but sells for $200. That’s eight times the Aldi price! So, if you’re a cast iron newbie, the Aldi version is a great way to introduce yourself to cooking with cast iron—without breaking the bank. It would also make a great gift for friends and family who love to have regular pizza nights.

Cast iron is a great material to work with. It’s compatible with just about any heat source, and can easily go from the stove top to the oven. The “cast” part of cast iron refers to the fact that it’s made of a molten iron mixture that’s poured—or cast—into a mold. It results in a piece of cookware that’s made in one complete piece and is incredibly resilient, durable, and versatile. And because modern cast iron products are sold pre-seasoned, it’s easier than ever to get into cast iron cooking.

While you’re in Aldi picking up some budget-friendly meals or stocking up for the upcoming holidays, head down to the Aldi Finds aisle and snag this pizza pan copycat. But move fast. Like all good Aldi Finds, this item is only available for one week only.
