This time of year, food brands are super busy releasing their autumnal products. Trader Joe’s just brought back its fan-favorite Apple Cider Doughnuts, Costco’s famous pumpkin pie is back on shelves, and Pillsbury released a new, cozy Snickerdoodle cookie. Meanwhile, coffee creamers and cold foams are being sold in salted maple, horchata, and pumpkin flavors. Heck, even Pringles is getting in on the autumnal action with the release of the first sweet chip in nearly a decade, an homage to fall’s favorite duo: cinnamon and sugar.
Now, one of our favorite ice cream brands, Blue Bell, is diving headfirst into the new season. Its latest release is not only the perfect end to a warm, filling meal, but it’s also a flavor fans have been clamoring for. “I’ve waited decades for this day,” raved one fan after the news was announced.
Blue Bell Debuts New Classic Pecan Pie Ice Cream
In a sea of pumpkin spice releases, Blue Bell is kicking off the season with its new Classic Pecan Pie Ice Cream. The brand describes the ice cream as a “rich brown sugar ice cream with roasted pecans and pieces of flaky pie crust mixed with a pecan pie filling.” It sounds absolutely incredible, and we’re not the only ones who think so.
“I’m excited to see a unique non-pumpkin fall flavor,” said one fan. “Can’t wait to try it!”
Considering the dozens of Blue Bell flavors that become instant hits, we have a feeling this one will quickly become a fan favorite. We’re already dreaming about devouring the new offering with a warm slice of pecan, pumpkin, or even apple pie for a layered, delicious dessert. It would also make a great affogato contender, with bitter espresso adding depth to the ice cream’s nuttiness and sweetness.
