No other drive-thru captures the spirit of Wisconsin dairy quite like Culver’s.
And now, it’s adding another craveworthy cheese dish to the lineup—one that’s been missing for far too long.
Culver’s Launches Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese & Mac
This week, the chain launched a new menu item nationwide: the Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese & Mac. The new dish features tender macaroni coated in Culver’s signature warm, creamy Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese Sauce, then topped with even more “real, shredded cheddar.”
Joining an already cheese-covered menu, the addition feels like a natural fit. Some fans had even wondered what took so long. “With it being a Wisconsin-based company, I’m surprised that we don’t have Mac n cheese as a side option. Have they ever considered having it on their menu? I love me a good mac n cheese,” one Redditor wrote.
But despite the brand’s announcement of this “new” item, it’s actually not completely new. You’d just have to be a true Culver’s superfan to remember it.
According to a Reddit thread with discussion from several Culver’s employees, mac and cheese appeared on the menu several years ago, but it was available only sporadically and not at every location. More recently, the company started testing it again in limited markets. One test-store employee called it “the switch-up Culver’s needed” and said it “got great feedback,” even recommending marinara sauce and extra cheese for more flavor. “If you like the cheese sauce, it is surprisingly good,” another fan shared a few months ago.
Now, it’s officially back—and this time, it’s nationwide.
There’s just one catch: this cheesy comeback is only here for a limited time. The Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese & Mac officially launches on Nov. 3 and will stick around through Dec. 28—or until supplies last.
