If Dollar General isn’t on your radar yet, it should be. The budget-friendly retailer has over 20,000 locations and shows no signs of slowing down. Just last month, it announced plans to open over 400 new stores in 2026, and we wouldn’t be surprised if that number increases in the coming years.
For those unfamiliar, Dollar General stocks a variety of budget-friendly finds, including kitchenware, candy, and even rare beverages you’re unlikely to come across anywhere else. Recently, we spotted a cute new drinkware collection on shelves, and we can’t wait to build a set.
Dollar General Has New Pink Bow Mugs That Look Just Like Pottery Barn

Dollar General dropped two adorable new ceramic mugs just in time for Valentine’s Day. The pink bow mug set includes two distinct but complementary styles. Those who favor a bold look will appreciate the oversized bow mug, which displays a pink 3D bow that covers one entire side of the cup. For a more subtle look, you can choose the petite bow mug, which features smaller pink bows and a pink accent rim.
We couldn’t help but notice that these mugs look quite similar to Pottery Barn’s newest pink bow-themed collection. And while these aren’t exactly look-alikes, they certainly offer the same sweet and simple vibes for a fraction of the price. For reference, Dollar General’s mugs are sold individually and cost $3 each. At Pottery Barn, however, you would pay over $60 for a set of four.
We can see DG’s collection being perfect for your morning cup of joe, or for sipping your favorite hot cocoa while curled up with a good book. The store’s product description doesn’t specify the mug’s size, but it does state that they have a “generous capacity for hot or cold beverages.” Sounds to us like these would also make excellent vessels for ice cream, cereal, and even mug cakes.
