Dollar Tree is selling the limited edition flavor in a family-sized box, meaning you’ll get about 18.5 ounces of cereal for just $1.25. That’s a bargain compared to most grocery stores, where the family-size version of any flavor retails for upwards of $5.
The news was announced earlier this month through an Instagram post from user @alejandrasfind, who often shares grocery hauls. Over the summer, fans were thrilled when the lemon-flavored cereal returned for a brief time, writing, “Lemon Cheerios! Pure heaven! I need them!”
And to this day, the original announcement on Instagram remains a hotspot, with fans begging for the flavor to become a permanent part of the lineup. “You can just run a batch and ship them all to me,” one commenter wrote. “I will get a storage unit if needed.”
Although the brand hasn’t officially commented on the flavor’s status, this unexpected Dollar Tree find is the perfect chance to try it if you haven’t yet. Just don’t get too attached, because there’s no telling if or when the Frosted Lemon Cheerios will return.
