    A round-up of Real Food!

You know that I have been a sardines fanatic for years (go watch this video from 2010!) and that passion has never ended. I first learned about sardines when reading an article in Cooking Light about how healthy they were. I try to eat them at least once a week – sometimes more! The above was a taste test of the lemon flavors comparing my favorite brand (Fishwife) to the Matiz brand. The Fishwife won! They were just a bit more lemony.

But my real secret ingredient for a great sardine salad is actually ORANGE! Orange marmalade to be specific. I’ve been using orange marmalade as a secret ingredient for years, specifically in my favorite salad dressing. But let me tell you how good a little sweetness is with the lemony sardines or spicy mackerel.

All you need is a little mayo (and/or greek yogurt), a tablespoon or so of marmalade, and salt and pepper to make the most delicious mashed fish dish for lunch!

Scoop up with veggies, crackers, or flat pretzels.

    Breakfasts

In my current rotation: oatmeal, quick Greek yogurt bowls with fresh berries, smoothies made with frozen mango (the texture!), Oats in a Jar, and IRISH SODA BREAD! The best bread ever.

Cook once, eat twice! I saved the second oatmeal portion to reheat the next day.

    Quick Yogurt Bowls

This one had a crumbled morning glory muffin on top.

Frozen banana gets all the hype, but frozen mango is so fluffy! I mixed a cup of frozen mango with half a banana, vanilla protein, spinach, and milk. This is a smoothie even Mazen likes!

    OIAJ Yogurt in a Jar!

Irish Soda Bread is my favorite bread! It’s like a scone and fruity bread in one.

    Lunches

My lunches these days can be very random! From sardine salad to tomato salad. I added some of my favorite chips and a meat stick for protein.

Sometimes I stand at the counter with veggies and Wegmans Original Hummus (the best hummus ever) and decide what to have for lunch while basically eating my lunch, haha.

    Kitchen Sink Salad

Orange dressing, greens, an egg bite from Blue Apron, herby goat cheese, parmesan crisps.

    Rainy day salad

    Dinners

True Nature Chipotle Chicken, brown rice, asparagus and leftover caprese skewers. Use the code KATHEATS35 for $40 off.

    Freezer Quiche

I took my second veggie quiche out of the freezer and ate it all last week (always with Cholula)! Plus asparagus and those are mozzarella pearls!

    Desperate Times

Made the kids nuggets and decided to just have some on a salad and call that dinner!

    Blue Apron Dish

Treated myself to a few of these Blue Apron Dish meals using my own promo code. SO easy and delish! Use the code KATHEATS for 50% off!

    Lampo with Friends

On the most beautiful sunny evening!

    Prosciutto pizza always wins!

    Favorite Drink Combo

I am obsessed with these Recess mocktails, and the Island Spritz is the best. It’s so good! I also got a sample of these Cann packets and these two mixed together were delightful. The Cann packets taste so good, and you can add them to anything – including plain seltzer.

Lastly, I’m trying a 30 day supply of these Perimenopause vitamins from Perelel. It’s so hard to tell if you can actually *feel* anything when you try a new supplement. But I know the quality and nutrient diversity is great on these!

    Wishing you a stress-free weekend <3
