Now that the new year is in full swing, it’s officially time to switch gears from holiday mode to the next big day: Valentine’s Day. Of course, Valentine’s Day means plenty of sweets, from festive spins on year-round treats and decadent limited-edition fast food drops fit for Cupid, to all the candy your heart desires.
Hot on the heels of plenty of seasonal Hershey’s treats for Christmas—including Reese’s Trees, Grinch chocolate bars, and Snickerdoodle Cookie Kisses—the classic candy brand is gearing up to bring back a fan-favorite Kit Kat shape just in time for V-day.
Kit Kat Bears Are Back for Valentine’s Day
After the successful launch of the candy’s first-ever shapes last year, including Kit Kat Santas, bunnies, and vampires, the brand is bringing back another beloved shape for Valentine’s Day. Just like past iterations, the festive Kit Kat will feature a seasonal design pressed into the milk chocolate on top of the crisp wafer-filled candy bar—and I’ll be the first to say that it’s bear-y cute.

Valentine’s Day may mean heart-shaped everything—from Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to chicken nuggets—but Kit Kat is spotlighting another festive shape for its latest release: the teddy bear. The delightful shape features a teddy bear complete with a heart-shaped nose and a heart chest. To tie it all together, the bear is also holding up a heart.
Just like Reese’s, fans love the Kit Kat Shapes, citing the distribution of chocolate compared to the wafer inside. “I love them,” one fan wrote on a Reddit chain devoted to the seasonal candy. “The chocolate to wafer ratio is different and I prefer it!”
“I agree with you 100% about the wafer to chocolate ratio,” commented one user, who added that “The santa and bear shapes became my most favorite Kit Kat.”
Beyond the ideal wafer-to-chocolate ratio, each bear comes individually wrapped for easy snacking, complete with a “To” and “From” tag on the front. Between the adorable shape and giftability, Kit Kat Bears are cute options for classroom candy exchanges or small gestures of appreciation.
The only bummer? As with the Santa-shaped Kit Kats, the Kit Kat Bears are just one candy piece—meaning they don’t include the typical two wafers for that signature snap down the middle. Unfortunately for you and your S.O., there’s no splitting this Kit Kat Bear in two—although, with a 25-count bag, there’s still plenty to go around.
And, for sweethearts who can’t choose between Reese’s or Kit Kats, there’s even more to share. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, The Hershey Company is also dropping a new bulk bag of candy combining two of its most-loved treats: the Reese’s & Kit Kat Shapes Snack Size Assortment. So if your partner is pro-peanut butter while you prefer the crispy chocolate-covered wafer, you can both enjoy your ideal pick—and just like a good Valentine, the candies are better together.
Kit Kat Bears will be available for a limited time in packs of individually wrapped snack sizes at retailers nationwide. The bear-shaped candy bars will roll out alongside the rest of Hershey’s Valentine’s Day lineup, including new Jolly Rancher Awesome Reds Gummies, Reese’s Peanut Butter Mini Hearts Unwrapped, and Twizzlers Twists Friendship Exchange. I, for one, can’t wait to get my hands on this unbearably adorable new Kit Kat.
