    • Crumbl’s new Martha Stewart collab features seven desserts inspired by her book Entertaining.
    • Available until November 8, the lineup includes a fudge brownie, pumpkin sheet cake, lemon pie and more.
    • Reviewer’s top pick: Martha Stewart’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Thins for their chewy, homemade taste.

Crumbl, the North American bakery chain that’s best known for its trendy limited-time weekly offerings, just launched its newest lineup yesterday with Martha Stewart’s menu. Featuring iconic flavors and upgraded vintage classics to celebrate today’s re-release of Stewart’s book Entertaining, the menu includes two cookies, three cakes, a brownie and a pie. There’s something for everyone!

Only available until November 8, I knew I had to try the new dessert line as soon as possible. So I did what any good investigative food journalist would do, and I traveled to my local Crumbl to try all seven Stewart-approved desserts. Here’s the list of Crumbl x Martha Stewart products you can try this week:

    • Classic Fudge Brownie
    • New York Cheesecake
    • Martha Stewart’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Thins
    • Chocolate Tart Cookie
    • Coconut Layer Cake
    • Pumpkin Sheet Cake
    • Mile-High Lemon Pie

Yes, I tried every single one of these desserts one by one to give an honest review. And there was one that truly stood out to me for its chewy texture, homey flavor and all-around quality.

First, some honorable mentions: besides my favorite, the New York Cheesecake, Classic Fudge Brownie and Mile-High Lemon Pie were the desserts in the lineup that I went back to for seconds and thirds. The brownie was so fudgey and moist, the cheesecake’s graham cracker crust was complemented by its fresh strawberry topping and the lemon pie was vibrant. Although each of these were teetering the line of “too sweet,” they brought joy to the table.

But if you’re going to try one thing from this menu, Martha Stewart’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Thins is worth your money. Thin but chewy, these chocolate chip cookies gave a homemade feel while embracing the flavor of a Tate’s Bake Shop cookie. I’ve never loved Crumbl’s chocolate chip cookie offerings, and I’m thinking that they need to bring back these cookie thins as soon as possible.

For the misses, I thought the Pumpkin Sheet Cake and Chocolate Tart Cookie had an imbalance of flavors. Both of these desserts had a semi-sweet base with a super sweet frosting or topping, so they felt one-dimensional instead of providing balance. For these, I thought the topping tasted better than the cookie and cake itself, which was disappointing considering Crumbl specializes in these baked goods. And the Coconut Layer Cake was pretty basic; the coconut flavor was almost nonexistent. It was just a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting (with some flimsy coconut bits on top).

At EatingWell, we are firm believers that any food or drink, including Crumbl’s sugary desserts, can be enjoyed in a healthy eating pattern. Moderation is key, so a Crumbl cookie once in a while shouldn’t deter you from your goals. But for lower-sugar alternatives to eat more often, try our own Mini New York Cheesecakes or highly-rated Pumpkin Sheet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.
