McDonald’s certainly knows how to keep fans coming back to the drive-thru, and this year has been no exception. The Golden Arches has been dishing out menu shake-ups, resurrecting nostalgic characters, and making major price changes to keep fans happy. Even its most iconic promotion, McDonald’s Monopoly, is back after nearly a decade.
But the fast food giant is more than its greatest hits. We’re all about a new McD’s release. And three brand-new items just quietly dropped on menus. There’s a new sauce in town, along with new sandwiches, and a collaboration that we need to try ASAP.
McDonald’s All-New Buffalo Ranch Sauce
Our resident fast food queen, Bailey Fink, watches the McDonald’s app like a hawk. And she just noticed a brand-new sauce on the menu that’s about to turn up the heat on some of McD’s signature items. Say hello to Buffalo Ranch Sauce.
This new, vibrant orange cup is available alone to pair with fries and nuggets or as part of two new menu items: the Bacon Buffalo Ranch Deluxe McCrispy sandwich and the Buffalo Ranch Snack Wrap. Food fan @snachwithzach spotted the items and gave them a full review on Instagram, sharing that the new sauce is “about the same heat level as Spicy Buffalo.”
“It’s thick, very thick,” they said in the video. “Very similar to the KFC Buffalo Ranch.”
The Instagram star also said that McD’s got the sauce ratio right in the new McCrispy sandwich, but added that if you’re a Snack Wrap fan, “this gives you everything that you want.”
The New Chips Ahoy Frappé at McDonald’s
And to tame all that spice, McD’s is also rolling out a new Frappé flavor, the Chips Ahoy Frappé, which @snachwithzach also taste tested on Instagram.
“That’s fire,” they exclaimed in the video. “The cookie crumbles are nice on that.”
The McD’s enthusiast noted that the new Frappé flavor has a good balance of subtle coffee and brown sugar notes. After trying Little Debbie’s debut in a frozen drink at the drive-thru this fall, we are so ready for a new cookie treat.
While we don’t have a confirmed launch date from McDonald’s, several rumors suggest that these creations will roll out to restaurants on Oct. 28. However, if you’re as lucky as @snachwithzach, your local McD’s may already be soft launching, so keep your eyes peeled for these items on menus.
