Every year, we encounter hundreds of new products in the grocery store, from candies to chips, frozen meals to fruits, and cheeses to coffee creamers. 2025 was no different, but, sprinkled into the launches, we also witnessed multiple beloved (and oftentimes long-discontinued) products return to shelves.
General Mills brought back a beloved cereal from the early aughts, Little Debbie’s Chocolate Christmas Tree Cakes were spotted on shelves for the first time in two years, and Coca-Cola relaunched Mr. Pibb after 25 years. Even Mars Inc. announced its plans to resurrect a few beloved candy offerings.
First, the extra peanut-packed Snickers Extreme bar returned to shelves. Then, it announced the M&M’s Fan Vote would return in the spring of 2026, with flavors including Peanut Butter Cinnamon Roll, Cherry Chocolate Cupcake, and Lemon Meringue Pie. Now, Mars is rereleasing a Milky Way flavor fans call “by far the best.”
After its quiet discontinuation in 2023, Milky Way is finally bringing back its All Caramel candy bar.
Milky Way All Caramel Is Returning
Allrecipes / Milky Way
The original Milky Way candy bar is a classic, defined by its simple ingredients: nougat and caramel enrobed in milk chocolate. However, Mars has iterated on the iconic candy in a few ways, including Milky Way Midnight, made with dark chocolate, and Milky Way Cookie Dough, which adds cookie dough flavoring to the gooey nougat.
Previously, Milky Way sold a candy bar that didn’t feature any nougat at all. The Simply Caramel Milky Way was just that, a Milky Way made with milk chocolate and filled with only smooth, sweet-and-salty caramel.
The bar, which was sold in multiple sizes and in the Caramel Lovers Mix alongside Snickers, Twix, and Caramel M&M’s, disappeared from shelves in 2023 and fans were quick to share their disappointment.
“I was looking forward to this candy bar every Halloween and now you can’t get it at all. Please, please, please bring it back,” wrote a Reddit user.
“It’s one of my favorites. So much better than the original,” commented another.
Now, after years of pleas, Mars is rereleasing its caramel-filled Milky Way bar. The All Caramel Milky Way is the same “simply” caramel candy, just with a new name.
The no-nougat All Caramel Milky Way is headed back to shelves in January, where it will be sold at retailers nationwide in single bars and share sizes.
With brands listening to fans more than ever, we can’t wait to see what other discontinued snacks and treats make their way back to stores in 2026.
