We’re not even two months into 2026 and it has already been a banner year for soda drinkers, with major companies dropping plenty of new and exciting innovations, from Coca-Cola Cherry Float to Pepsi Maple Cola. Outside of the big names, there have also been a number of launches by newcomers including Olipop, Spindrift, and Stiller’s.
Now, one better-for-you brand is gearing up to launch a new flavor, and according to early tasters, it gives the major players a run for their money.
Bloom Pop Debuts New Root Beer Float Soda
Bloom Nutrition, which originally made waves with its powdered supplements before bursting onto the beverage scene with energy drinks, is launching a brand new flavor of Bloom Pop—and it may be one of the best yet. In addition to a fan-loved lineup including Shirley Temple, Strawberry Cream, and Raspberry Lemonade, Bloom is adding a unique twist to a classic with the launch of its newest flavor: Root Beer Float Pop.

Just like the nostalgic drink, Bloom Root Beer Float Pop brings the signature root beer flavor balanced out with a touch of creaminess. The root beer float-inspired sipper follows in the footsteps of other recent launches, including Mug Root Beer Floats Vanilla Howler and A&W’s Ice Cream Sundae soda. Combined with Bloom’s gut-friendly formula, the indulgent-tasting drink contains just 20 calories and 3-4g of sugar for a light and refreshing drink with added benefits. But even though it’s a better-for-you soda, fans say it still tastes dang good.
“That’s fire,” said content creator Gabe Basham in a Facebook video reviewing the soda. “It’s so good.”
“Because it’s a float, it has that little touch of vanilla,” he continued, adding that “it tastes like real root beer.” Given that better-for-you beverages can occasionally have a unique taste from add-ins and sugar alternatives, I’m relieved to hear that the soda is comparable to the real thing—and it seems like other fans are, too.
“I need to try!” commented one user on the post. “I love a lot of Bloom’s stuff and growing up root beer was always my fave!”
“Root beer float is amazing!” agreed one taste-tester, before calling the new Bloom Pop flavor “one of [my] faves!!”
While some lucky customers have already spotted the new flavor on shelves, Bloom Root Beer Float Pop officially drops on Feb. 17. Just like other flavors of Bloom Pop, Root Beer Float Pop will be available online as well as at major retailers nationwide, including Target, Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS.
