    • 833,000 Peloton Bike+ units recalled for faulty seat posts that can break and cause injuries.
    • Recall applies to model PL02 bikes with serial numbers starting with “T,” sold from 2020 to 2025.
    • Owners should contact Peloton for a free replacement seat post through the recall website or hotline

Approximately 833,000 Peloton exercise bikes are being recalled, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This is due to a fall and injury hazard.

The bikes affected by this recall are Peloton Original Series Bike+. The impacted exercise bikes include model number PL02 and serial numbers beginning with the letter “T.” They were sold at Peloton and Dick’s Sporting Goods stores nationwide and online through Peloton, Dick’s, Amazon and eBay from January 2020 through April 2025 for about $2,495.

These Peloton models are being recalled because the bike’s seat post assembly can break during use, which poses fall and injury hazards. Check your Peloton, and if it matches the recall information, contact the company toll-free at 866-679-9129 from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit their recall page to request a replacement seat post.

So far, there have been three reports of the bike seat post breaking during use, including two injuries connected to the faulty product. Seek medical attention if you are experiencing severe injury from fall after using your Peloton.
