2025 was, arguably, a fantastic year for soda fanatics. Coca-Cola brought back Diet Coke Lime, created a dynamic duo with Sprite + Tea, and made Dr. Pepper Blackberry a permanent addition. Meanwhile, PepsiCo stood out with the revamp of Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream, and Mountain Dew Baja Blast Midnight became a staple in Taco Bell fountains nationwide. And, of course, you can’t forget about all of the energy drinks, prebiotic sodas, and international favorites that hit grocery store shelves.

To kick off 2026, Poppi—AKA PepsiCo’s newest venture into better-for-you beverages—is releasing an all-new soda that is equal parts trendy and nostalgic, and we tried it first.

Poppi Launches New Shirley Temple Soda

    Allrecipes / Poppi

Shirley Temples re-entered the spotlight in 2025, with 7Up dropping a limited-edition Shirley Temple flavor, while competing brands like Olipop and Bloom Nutrition debuted their own take on the nostalgic beverage. Plus, Dirty Shirleys quickly became a fan-favorite for sippers who wanted a grown-up spin on the classic alcohol-free combo. Now, Poppi is joining the Shirley game with its newest flavor: a revamped take on the childhood favorite.

Sweet, smooth, and perfectly fizzy, Poppi Shirley Temple features an ideal balance of bright citrus and grenadine-style cherry sweetness, with a bold, crisp finish. The newest Poppi has all the flavor fans love in the classic drink, but with just 5 grams of sugar, 30 calories, and no caffeine. And, like the brands’ other popular drinks, Poppi Shirley Temple includes prebiotic fiber for an added gut-friendly boost.

My Honest Review of Poppi Shirley Temple

When it comes to Poppi, the brand’s beverages are pretty hit-or-miss for me. I love Ginger Fizz, but please don’t even try to convince me that Doc Pop is the same as my beloved Dr. Pepper. Given my love for 7Up’s version of the Shirley Temple (yes, I did stockpile a few cases of the limited-time soda to last me a few months), I was pretty apprehensive about Poppi’s newest venture—turns out, the Shirley Temple is my favorite flavor yet.

And I’m not the only one. When Poppi teased the new flavor on Instagram, one fan admitted that it’s already “my new fav flavor. I hope it’s here to stay.”

Poppi Shirley Temple tastes exactly like a Shirley Temple. The fruity sweetness of the cherry is perfectly balanced by bright lemon and lime flavors, and the crispy bubbles add a delightful effervescence that completes the drink. As a soda lover, this Poppi hits all the right notes, and I love that it genuinely tastes like a Shirley Temple, even with the added fiber and lower sugar content.

The soda is officially available nationwide beginning January 2026 at Walmart, Kroger, and Amazon. Some fans have already spotted Poppi Shirley Temple on shelves. Plus, it will continue to roll out at Target and Publix, if you aren’t able to find it at your local Walmart or Kroger Stores.
