It’s always a tough day when a brand discontinues a fan-favorite product. The move often happens without warning—no announcement, no farewell—leaving fans to realize that their last sip or bite was truly their last. But every once in a while, brands hear the cries of customers around the world and bring back a sorely missed product—or sometimes even revive a whole product line.
With this year’s wave of holiday releases, we have been quietly waiting for the return of a particular seasonal soda that hit shelves last year. It was a new release that was created after PepsiCo discontinued a revered holiday flavor. While it’s not an exact replica, it captures the same festive spirit that led some fans to call it “the greatest seasonal soda pop of ALL TIME.”
Starry Cranberry Blizz Is Back on Shelves
Starry
PepsiCo’s lemon-lime soda brand Starry—which replaced Sierra Mist in 2023—is officially bringing back its seasonal flavor, Cranberry Blizz. The wintery soda was first introduced in 2024, and is now back on shelves through the end of the year.
Cranberry Blizz is the brand’s answer to the discontinued Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash. It’s not a one-to-one copy of that beloved soda (and for some fans, a poor replacement), but its bright citrus and tart cranberry taste has garnered a whole new group of fans.
“The flavor is very good, just the right amount of cranberry twist,” shared one reviewer.
Another stated that the Cranberry Blizz is the “best new product in a very long time.”
The soda is only available in a Zero Sugar variety—at least for this year. PepsiCo representatives say the beloved holiday flavor will return with a full sugar version for the 2026 release.
Cranberry Blizz is great for sipping on its own, but would also make a festive mixer for holiday cocktails like this Cranberry Martini, Christmas Poinsettia Punch, or Cranberry Blush Sparkler. But because it’s a seasonal drink, it will only be available for a short time—so grab a few packs and stock up so you can enjoy well into the new year.
