    • Five active recalls span cookie dough, ground beef, nasal spray, protein powder and sausage.
    • Risks include Salmonella, E. coli, microbial contamination, undeclared allergens and metal fragments.
    • Check labels and dates now; dispose of recalled items or return them for a refund.

There are a few recalls that you may have missed, but you should know about them. From meat to protein powder, these five recalls still have active expiration dates, so these products could still be in your refrigerator, freezer or cabinets. Here’s what to know and if you have any of the affected foods, supplements or medicines on hand, dispose of them or return to your place of purchase for a potential refund.

    Cookie Dough

Cookie dough is being recalled in 15 states, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This is due to a possible Salmonella contamination.

Doughy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough sold in 12-ounce packages has been recalled. The recalled dough has a best-by date of July 4, 2026, and was sold at retail locations in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Texas.

While no illnesses are connected to this recall, Salmonella infection (salmonellosis) can be severe for sensitive groups, including those who are pregnant, immunocompromised, age 65 or older and for young children. If you have symptoms like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting or stomach pains after eating the impacted product, contact a healthcare professional as soon as possible.

    Ground Beef

Approximately 2,855 pounds of raw ground beef have been recalled due to potential E. coli O26 contamination, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The recalled beef is labeled “FORWARD FARMS GRASS-FED GROUND BEEF” and is sold in 16-ounce, vacuum-sealed packages.

The affected packages have a printed “use or freeze by” date of 01/13/26 and bear establishment number “EST 2083.” The impacted beef was produced on December 16, 2025, and sent to distributors in the following states for retail distribution: California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Pennsylvania and Washington.

Anyone who purchased or consumed the recalled product should monitor for symptoms of E. coli O26 infection, which can appear up to 28 days after exposure. These symptoms include diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting and low-grade fever. Adults age 65 or older, young children, immunocompromised individuals and people who are pregnant are most at risk of life-threatening illness due to infection. If you are experiencing any signs of foodborne illness, contact a healthcare provider immediately.

    Nasal Spray

There’s an active recall on nasal spray sold across the U.S., per an FDA announcement. This is due to a microbial contamination, and the presence of yeast and/or mold was found in the product.

The over-the-counter spray affected is 20-milliliter bottles of ReBoost Nasal Spray sold at retail locations and online nationwide. The packaging contains a NDC number “62795-4005-9,” UPC “787647 10186 3,” lot code “224268” and an expiration date of December 2027.

If you have this nasal spray on hand, return to your place of purchase or contact the company, MediNatura New Mexico, Inc., to request a refund. You can do this by emailing recall@medinatura.com or calling 800-621-7644 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. MT.

    Protein Powder

There is an active recall on protein powder distributed and sold in 37 states, according to the FDA. This is due to mislabeling, resulting in an undeclared allergen.

The protein powder being recalled is unflavored, 225-gram bags of Genepro Whey 4th Generation Plasma Treated Protein with a UPC of “850053365126,” lot code “250214” and best-by date of February 13, 2027. The affected product was sold in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington and Wyoming.

While the recalled powder contains language like “allergen free,” “lactose free” and “dairy free” on its packaging, the product may contain undeclared milk. This can result in a severe allergic reaction to those with dairy allergies, so dispose of or return affected protein powder immediately. For questions about this recall, call the FDA at 1-888-INFO-FDA (1-888-463-6332).

    Sausage

A recall on ready-to-eat kielbasa sold nationwide was announced by the FSIS. This is due to a potential foreign matter contamination, specifically metal fragments in the product.

The kielbasa recalled is Olympia Provisions Uncured Holiday Kielbasa sold in 16-ounce, vacuum-sealed plastic packaging with a best-by date of February 19, 2026, and establishment number “EST. 39928.” The recalled kielbasa was available nationwide through online direct-to-consumer sales and was sold at retail locations in California, Oregon and Washington.

This recall was the result of a consumer complaint of finding metal in the sausage. Although there are no additional reports or any injuries connected to this announcement, dispose of any affected products and contact a healthcare professional with any concerns.
