Ice cream may be synonymous with warmer weather, but there is something to be said for the unique and irresistible seasonal flavors that come out during the holidays. Maybe you line your freezer with eggnog, opt for sugar cookie, or stan for cinnamon. Or maybe, like us, you wait all year for peppermint to return in all its glory.
Many ice cream brands have a version—from Blue Bell to Tillamook—though some are harder to find than others. So when our favorite warehouse store stocks peppermint ice cream in bulk, you can be sure we’re making a special trip.
Häagen-Dazs Peppermint Bark Ice Cream Bars Are Back at Costco
A few years ago, Häagen-Dazs not only released Peppermint Bark Ice Cream, but also a more portable, more enticing hand-held Peppermint Bark Ice Cream Bar—available at Costco. Ever since, fans eagerly await its yearly return.
Well, Costco shoppers, the wait is finally over—the limited-edition ice cream bar is officially back.
The Häagen-Dazs Peppermint Bark Ice Cream Bar features a perfectly creamy white chocolate ice cream center and is surrounded by a crunchy coating of rich dark chocolate studded with pieces of peppermint candy.
When social media account costconewdeals noted the bars had returned to Costco’s freezer section, fans were rejoicing in the comment section. “Look forward every year for this return,” one exclaimed, while others called these “delish!” and “amazing.” Yet another is with us, agreeing they’re “worth the trip alone.”
Similarly, posts from years past back up the hype: “I wait for these to come back every single year!” Others added, “Best. Dessert. Ever.” and “Uh oh, I’m in trouble…I could eat the whole box.”
Our Allrecipes team is beyond excited as well. Devon O’Brien remarked, “I wanted them so badly last year, but we didn’t have enough freezer space. This year, I have a whole extra garage freezer that I’m definitely loading up with these bad boys!” Editor Andrea Lobas responded, “Umm, yes, please. These will be a must, I already love the regular version.”
If you’ve ever bought Häagen-Dazs bars at a regular grocery store rather than a warehouse club, you know that they can cost around $5 for a box of three. Costco’s price for these “bad boys” is around $15-$16 for 15 individually wrapped ice cream bars, making them just $1 each. That’s a great price for such a decadent ice cream bar, especially one that would make a perfect, stress-free dessert to serve at the end of any holiday meal.
Ready to stock your freezers, too? Don’t wait. Not only are they on sale for $3.50 off per box through Nov. 16, but these limited-edition Häagen-Dazs Peppermint Bark Ice Cream Bars are only available for a short window—and always sell out.
