McDonald’s may be renowned for its near-perfect french fries, crispy soda fountains, and a plethora of classic burger options, but one item that fans especially love is the McDonald’s Snack Wrap. Originally discontinued in 2016, McD’s brought back the beloved wrap this past summer after fans begged for nearly a decade. While the menu item is still pretty good, one food blogger has a McDonald’s Snack Wrap hack that she claims makes it taste even better.
The Viral High Protein McDonald’s Snack Wrap Order
Food blogger Samantha Milton, better known by her Instagram handle @smaller_sam.pcos, recently shared the McDonald’s order that boasts 34 grams of protein, which she claims helps her maintain her weight loss. Beyond the protein boost, Milton mentions that the menu hack makes the Snack Wrap “everything I wanted it to be.”
Milton starts by ordering a Ranch Snack Wrap with extra lettuce, no shredded cheese, and no ranch dressing. She also orders a 4-piece McCrispy Strip with one packet of Spicy Buffalo Sauce, plus a side of pickles.
“I just think that the tortilla is way too big for the McDonald’s Snack Wrap,” Milton notes as she opens the wrap, topping it with two of the McCrispy Strips. “And you need the extra chicken.”
You can’t add pickles to the Snack Wrap when ordering, so Milton orders them on the side, which costs her 25 cents. Milton then adds a layer of pickle slices on top of the chicken strips and pours the container of Spicy Buffalo Sauce over it.
“This is my dream,” Milton says as she takes a huge bite of the zhuzhed-up wrap, and her viewers seem to agree.
“This looks so much better than a normal snack wrap,” one user gushed.
“Just got this for lunch today,” added another McDonald’s fan, who said that Sam’s hack was “10/10 as always!!!!”
Plus, Milton also notes that you have two extra McCrispy Chicken Strips for a snack later, and jokes that you could even order a second Snack Wrap to “meal prep” her version of the order for the next day.
Like the rest of us fountain soda fiends, Sam knows that McDonald’s sodas are simply elite, so she paired her Snack Wrap with a large “crispy” Diet Coke with extra ice. Given the rave reviews on the wrap and the mutual understanding of McD’s soda supremacy, I’ll be copying Sam’s order in its entirety the next time I hit the Golden Arches.
