Twix Has an All-New Candy for the Holiday Season—and We Tried It First

I know many foodies might not agree with me, but I don’t think that Thanksgiving deserves the same pomp and circumstance as the winter holiday season. Yes, I love watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and eating a plate of mashed potatoes and stuffing as much as the next person; however, growing up, I really loved Thanksgiving because it meant that my family put up the Christmas tree the very next day.

Now, as an adult, my Christmas tree has been up since Nov. 1, and it’s already spreading holiday cheer. I’ve always loved holiday time, but I think that part of my excitement about starting it earlier and earlier comes from the fact that festive products are on shelves long before December.

This year is no exception, with new desserts, side dishes, and festive cookware flooding the stores already.

However, we are still seeing some brands holding off on declaring it the holiday season. While fans have been spotting Hershey’s Sugar Cookie Reese’s and red and green M&M’s for a few weeks now, Twix gave Halloween and holiday fans something new with its first-ever Hallowmas pack. The limited-edition bag combined the Ghoulish Green candy with its brand-new holiday candy to let fans savor the final days of spooky season, while quietly welcoming Santa Claus to town.

But now, the jingle bells are officially out as Twix’s all-new Snowmen Shape is headed to shelves.

Candy shapes are all the rage right now, and we’re not complaining. If you’re someone who enjoys the extra filling of a Reese’s, Snickers, Dove, or Twix, you’re clearly not alone. So, this holiday season, Twix is debuting a new seasonal shape: the snowman.

The Twix Snowmen candy features an adorable embossed snowman figurine—complete with a carrot nose and scarf—on the chocolate candy, which encases a crunchy cookie and gooey caramel. Much like Twix’s other shapes, including the Ghost and Egg, the new Snowmen have extra filling in every piece, as compared to the classic Twix stick.

The new Twix Snowmen will be replacing Twix’s previous holiday Santa shape, so even if you aren’t in the holiday spirit yet, you can still enjoy a cold-weather nod. Twix is releasing its new Snowmen shapes in single packs, two-piece share sizes, and six packs at retailers nationwide now.

I tried the new Twix Snowmen earlier this year, and here is my honest review.

My Honest Review of Twix Snowmen

If given the choice, I’m always going to opt for a candy shape over the classic candy. I love the extra filling-to-chocolate ratio that so many of the seasonal shapes have—and the Twix Snowman is no different.

While the Twix Snowman isn’t inherently new, it’s basically the same as the Egg or Ghost, just with a different design. It is absolutely worth grabbing for the holiday season for that bit of extra goodness inside.

It’s official, this year my candy dish will be all Reese’s Trees, Snickers Trees, and Twix Snowmen.
